Two-Times-Twoesday: Alice and Roxy

Two-Times-Twoesday: Alice and Roxy

Hubba Hubba- check out these ladies! Bonded pair of black ladies. Sure, they little bigger than we Tweeds at 40-50 lbs each, but this is 2014, that is totally allowed! One with pointy ears and one with floppy ears- match made in Tweedle heaven!

Roxy
Alice

Alice and Roxy first caught our eye some months ago when their rescue, Big Fluffy, first listed them. They are described as "double the trouble, double the fun." They are Australian Cattle Dog Mixes and are said to herd cats and little hoomans. Hm. They can herd us anytime (hubba hubba). They also prefer non-dominant dogs. Ooh- ladies who know what they want! We will kindly oblige.

They currently living somewhere in Maryland and ma says that is further from New 'ampshire than Mario can go in a car with out being sick. If they come a little closer though, we're going to have to have a play date.

Toy Review: Pet Lifestyle Carrot

The P.L.A.Y. Pet Lifestyle and You Carrot Toy

We have tried lots of toys in our house. Overall, stuffies are generally preferred. The P.L.A.Y. Pet Lifestyle and You Carrot Toy is one toy that we adored and have convinced ma to buy another one. Its a stuffie... and a squeaker and a vegetable all at once!

We think its a snack and yet.. it is not a snack!

Particularly our sister-Emma, shown above, is very confused by the carrot

Our carrot lived a long and prosperous life... until our fwiend Oso came to visit. He is the destroyer of all things.
Oso, destroyer of all toys

But we loved this carrot, and so we are gettin 'nother one. It comes highly recommended from us, the experts.

If you have a carrot toy, we'd love to see your photos..

Two Times Twoesday Lola and Lucky

Two Times Twoesday: Lola and Lucky

Check out these ladies. Ooh Ooh.

They litter mates, just like we Tweedles.
They 30 lbs.. just like we Tweedles (just kidding, we down to the 20 area now..)
They same sex partners, just like we Tweedles.
And best of all- they bonded, just like we Tweedles!

Lola and Lucky are 7 year old whippett mixes looking for a home together. Their dating profile says "their idea of a wild Friday involves you, Lucky on one side and Lola on the other, and some popcorn" We hopes that means they like to eat the popcorn, we sure would.

Work Out Wednesday: Puppy Talk

As you know, we no strangers to puppies. Ma got us to foster and we continue to foster even though we never leaving our forever home.

This puppy, named Roxy now, but we called her puppy- we taught her how to Tweedle. She always wanted us to chase her though..

This puppy, named Katniss- ma called her kitty. It was very confusing. She always wanted to play. No respect for nap time.

Our fwiend Mona Lisa is also from Pawsey New England and she also a foster fail. She got a puppy this summer, even though she sexy young lady herself. She thinks we should get 'nother puppy to help with our weight loss.

Two-Times-Twoesday: Lily and Flash the Pugs!

You guys know our sister-Lucy, right? Lucy is a puggle- mean she pug and beagle. She mostly pug in the looks, and she all pug in the 'tude. Ma says she two part frump-a-lump and one part 'dorable.

Lucy says her and her daddy are a bonded pair. She says she is a furry-hooman, so I suppose if she is hooman and he is hooman, perhaps they are a bonded pair. (Not sure what ma thinks of THAT). Now that we think of it..

Lucy's kind has a rescue all for their own kind! Well pugs. Pug Rescue of New England or PRONE. Yup. Some of the puggies at our pug group we go to (we consider ourselves honorary pugs, because we too are fat, lazy and our main motivation in life is to get more food).

Well PRONE has an overwhelming amount of Bonded Pairs! We couldn't believe it! Since are are the faces of bonded pairs, a true success story... or sucker-the-hooman story.. we gotta help these pairs get their homes together.

One of these pairs are Flash and Lily. They are a boy-girl couple.

Flashy is a 6 year old neutered male... he is wearing the belly band because he newly neutered. (Poor guy). Gotta get his need to mark out. Then only do it when you making a point, Flash. Flash only 14 lbs. He the needy one of the group, the Luigi, per say. He likes to have his lady friend with in eye sight. (Bet his lady friend less annoying than my brother. Sometimes its nice when he not in sight.. but not for too long! -Luigi)

Lily is the hot stuff shown at the bottom of both these pictures. She is 8 years old and 16 lbs. She a spayed female, and enjoys long sits on the couch. She has a flea allergy.. but no worry, little bit of frontline takes care of those fleas (also takes care of my friend Shmea and his family, the deer tick- Luigi).

Checky Lily and Flash at https://www.petfinder.com/petdetail/29799850 or at their rescue's site on the face page.

Treat Review: Honest Kitchen Keen and Force

The Honest Kitchen people sent us some nom-noms to try. We told them we experts. Fat Boys for life you know.

So we tried their Keen and their Force

It no lookey like kibble. It lookey like the end of the kibble container.

Instructions say to add 1/3 cup of water then wait five minutes. Those were the longest five minutes of our lives!

Since the kibble in the samples look tiny, ma gave us some kibble too. Nom nom. Taste testy time.

Sister-Lucy definitely approved. She finished hers in about 30 seconds.

This stuff no made for people with long noses and only half a bottom jaw. Me, Mario, I had tough time getting to the last bits.

But I tried and I tried and I tried... I chased that bowl around the whole kitchen until finally, I got it all.

In the end, for taste, this stuff is Tweedle approved.

For convenience and ease of eating, we would prefer if it was kibbled so we no have to waity no five minutes and so no have to chase our dinner. We liked the Turkey and the Chicken equally, so recommend you try both.. and then serve both. Nom nom!

Fwiend Fwiday: Sometimes you should not have fwiends...

This week for Fwiend Fwiday, we gonna show you someone who you should NOT be fwiends with.

Who to be fwiends with is just as important as who not to.

Look at all these dogs having fun playing in the pool...
Silly dogs playing at getting a tubbie!

What you may not have noticed, is this guy..

That is right my friends, caught with his leg up! Peeing in the pool! Some fwiends don't get to come back..

Treat Review Thursday: Marrow Bones

Ma says that there is some local strike going on where there's no food in the stores. We say "wha!? No food?! Luckily, that no our house. Our house still has plenty of food from when ma bought 177 lbs when there was a big sale.

Ma had to go to the butcher's place. We inquired what that was as we were nervous- then we learned of all the food there and we wants to go too. She got us marrow bones, aka soup bones while she was there. Mmmm.. we loves them.. Nom Nom..

Work-out Wednesday: Lucy's Kayaking Adventures

This week for Work-out Wednesday, we are going to let our sister-Lucy take ova.

For those of you who do not know, Lucy is the original dog in the house. Yup. She was the first.
Lucy also used to be a pug-puggle weighing in at a whopping 29 lbs! She was then known as "Fat Lucy"

Today, Lucy weighs a slim 19 lbs and is known as "Hot Tamale Lucy"

On top of a diet that consisted of breaking her habit of hobbit eating (first breakfast, second breakfast..), Lucy also shed the pounds by taking up kayaking with her Woolly Mammoth.

Lucy has to do a significant amount of walking to get to the dock, then for the first couple of years Lucy sat in the kayak with her dad. Since then, Lucy has become more adventurous and mastered the ability to be a true nature dog!
Occassionally, Lucy will jump in the water and get a good swim in. She is careful as she knows that if she jumps into certain places, she will in fact end up needing a tubbie (and Lucy HATES tubbies).

Shortly after the taking of this photo, the Woolly Mammoth decided to ignore a spray painted sign telling him to go left. Shortly upon taking the road less traveled, he learned why- there was white waters that flipped the kayak. Lucy and the Woolly mammoth both ended up in the river. Luckily for Lucy, the Woolly Mammoth was able to find her (and luckily for the Woolly Mammoth as he would not have wanted to return home to Lucy's ma without Lucy). Lucy was swimming like a champ, getting her burn in. Going forward, the Woolly Mammoth will ensure that Lucy is wearing her proper flotation device- and we don't mean her blubber. We recommend the Pet Aboard polka dotted life vest

And of course, make sure your dog can swim before entering the water.
Yup, Lucy can swim.
Luigi is afraid of the stereotype of black dogs not being able to swim..

Two Times Tuesday: Sheba & Sable

Check out these sexy ladies!

Sheba and Sable are 9 year old Collie mixes weighing in at 60 and 70 lbs! They were once well loved, then found themselves at a rural southern shelter. Luckily, Paws New England saved them.

They are still in TN now- in a foster home. Their foster ma is going on vacation soon and they hope they can go up to New England before then.. either foster or adopter.

If you'd like to foster them, fill out an app at www.pawsnewengland.com/foster

Checky their profile here.

Sheba's got the white on her chest.

Fwiend Fwiday: Annie-Cat

Its Fwiend Fwiday!

Our fwiend to showcase is a bit unusual.

This story started back almost a year ago. Our ma and Woolly Mammoth went away on somethin' called "vacation." We spent the first half of our vacation at the Laken's house. Those Laken's had big guys and they had some feathered things they called chickens...

Silly Lakens..
Then we spent the second half of the week at our fwiend Tazzy's house with Tazzy's ma and not-so-Woolly Mammoth.

And that is where we met her! It was love at first sight. We saw that tail and we knew we needed to sniff her butt.

Trust us, Annie-cat is no normal lady fwiend. Annie-cat is another species of lady. She tries to play hard to get, but we know she just doesn't want to admit her love for us..
Do not worry, our beloved. We are sure our ma and Woolly Mammoth will go on another one of those "vacations" and we'll be back. Yup.

Tweat Review Thursday: Burrow Bed!

We supposed to do Tweat review, but we have this new bed in the house we gots to tell you about.

Ma went away last weekend and came home with a puppy

This puppy, Teagan, now 'dopted and known as Tessie
and a bed! Not just any bed- a bed you can hide in! This is a fancy-pants burrow bed from petpizzaz.com

We tried to figure it out.. but the bed is always occupied...
That's Lucy, she is our Alpha-female.. she think she more important than ma.
And we not saying just once its occupied- its always occupied..

Lucy says its too hot to nap IN the burrow bed, but that she will when its colder out.

Thanks mama-Diane for the burrow bed! We are bound to loves it... if we are ever given the opportunity. Until then, you can find us here.
We loves the laundry basket. bonus points when its dirty... or in the winter when its fresh out of the dryer (no now - now its HOTT! Its awesome!)

Work Out Wednesday: Cardio, preferred method

We all know that a lot of weight loss is from cardio. There are some terrible kinds of cardio, like the marathon ma made us run back in October.
Checky our friend Neevy enjoying the view of our tails at the marathon.
The best way to get your cardio in though is by digging. Digging takes a lot of work!

You gotta pick the perfect spot- and don't be afraid to get dirty!

Sometimes you have to nap in the middle, you know, to conserve energy.

And don't forget to stick your belly in your new hole when you done! Look how thin I look here.

We were going to put together an instructional video for you, but it rained... we Tweedles no likey the rain.. digging in the rain gets you a tubby..

Our fwiend Trooper is also an expert digger.
